Founded in 1949 through a partnership among Asanteman, the Presbyterian and Methodist churches, and the state, Prempeh College is a boys’ boarding school in Kumasi. Students study across four academic programmes and live in eleven houses.

Five NSMQ titles, from 1994 to 2021
Prempeh College won the maiden National Science & Maths Quiz in 1994 and lifted the trophy again in 1996, 2015, 2017, and 2021. No school in the Ashanti Region has won more.
Robotics
Prempeh’s robotics record after the 2016 world title
In 2016, Prempeh College became the first African secondary school to win the Robofest World Championship and also received the Toyota Innovation Award.
Heritage
College dedicates the J. A. Kufuor Auditorium and two new houses
The new assembly hall honours former President John Agyekum Kufuor, while Houses 10 and 11 take the names of former headmaster Arthur Clark and old boy Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
